ADA Information
Tickets, Seating & Companion Seating
Accessible seating is available for all events held at War Memorial Auditorium. The mezzanine level of the Auditorium is equipped with accessible seating. Floor seating is subject to change depending on seating configurations for various events. Designated seating for guests who have a disability that requires the features of an ADA seat may purchase such seats until we are sold out.
Depending on the event, a guest purchasing an ADA seat will have the ability to purchase up to three (3) companion seats. Depending upon availability, seats for companions and/or additional guests will be located as close as possible to the accessible space. Limited ADA seating will be held until the day of the event or until seating is sold out, whichever happens first. There is no guarantee that any ADA seats including companion tickets will remain unsold and available by the event day.
The best way to purchase accessible seating is on SeatGeek.com. If you have standard tickets in non-accessible seating and require the features of accessible seating, please contact the War Memorial Auditorium Box Office at (954) 835-SHOW (7469) to make arrangements in advance.
Please be advised that the War Memorial Auditorium personnel reserve the right to take appropriate action against individuals who fraudulently obtain ADA and companion seats. For example, staff may ask limited questions to confirm accessible-seating need.
Transportation
TOPS provide a door-to-door service for those individuals who are unable to use the Broward County Transit buses. TOPS carriers use mini-vans, sedans, lift-equipped vans and small buses to transport guests. Limited TOPS Service in Broward County is available by calling 954-357-8400 or visiting the TOPS website.
Wheelchair & Walker Storage
For any guest who wishes to transfer from walker or wheelchair to a seat, we will store your item behind you in the ADA Section. Our Event Staff will check in walkers, if needed.
Wheelchair Escorts
Wheelchair escorts are available to any guest who have limited mobility and need assistance getting to/from their seat. Upon arrival, please notify the nearest Event Services Team Member that you would like a wheelchair escort. Our wheelchair escort will then meet the guest at the entrance and assist the guest to their seat. Please be aware that neither the staff nor the wheelchair will remain with you during the event. Arrangements will be made between the Event Services Team Member and the guest to return with a wheelchair escort at the end of the event or any other time you would prefer.
American Sign Language Interpreter
War Memorial Auditorium is happy to provide you with an ASL interpreter for any concert or event with two weeks’ notice. Please call our show line at 954-835-7469 to request an interpreter. We will work with the show and location of your seats for the proper placement of the interpreter.
ADA Parking
Parking for guests with ADA needs is available for all events. The designated spaces are offered on a first come, first served basis and are located in the lot across from Baptist Health IcePlex. Please follow the signs and display the proper placard on your rearview mirror to assist our parking attendants in directing you to these areas without delay.
Guests with accessible needs may also utilize the roundabout in front of the War Memorial Auditorium or Baptist Health IcePlex
