FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.  — Today, multi-platinum rap legend Wale and visionary rapper and singer Smino announce their North American run, Everything Is A Lot. The Tour. The tour announcement arrives off the heels of Wale’s recent album everything is a lot. which was released in November 2025 via Def Jam Recordings. The tour brings Wale’s deeply personal new era and Smino’s diverse sonic palette to stages across the United States heading to Fort Lauderdale at War Memorial Auditorium on Monday, June 15.

Released in November 2025 via Def Jam, everything is a lot. marks Wale’s eighth studio album and stands as his most introspective and emotionally candid body of work to date. The project features a dynamic lineup of collaborators including Odeal, Leon Thomas, Shaboozey, Ty Dolla $ign, Andra Day, and more, further showcasing the album’s emotional range and sonic versatility. Across the project, Wale unpacks themes of love and loss, fame and fortune, mental health, and self-discovery, offering listeners a raw and reflective look at his evolution as both an artist and a person. This project is praised for its vulnerability, sharp lyricism, and honest storytelling, elements of which are expected to translate powerfully in a live show.

Joining Wale on tour is special guest Smino, whose genre-bending sound and magnetic stage presence make him a natural counterpart. Just one year after his successful Kountry Kousins Tour in 2025, Smino returns to the road for another standout run, teasing a new project set to drop later this spring. Blending Smino’s melodic flow and experimental production with the lyrical depth of Wale’s everything is a lot album, the pairing promises a dynamic live experience rooted in sonic innovation, emotional depth, and undeniable onstage chemistry.

About Wale

Wale has been one of rap’s most versatile and enduring artists since his breakout 2008 mixtape, A Mixtape About Nothing. Blending striking social commentary, confident lyricism, Seinfeld-inspired irony, and anthemic storytelling, he helped merge backpack rap with mainstream success, earning Platinum and Gold plaques along the way. Born Olubowale Victor Akintimehin to Nigerian immigrant parents in Washington, D.C., he pursued football in college before shifting to music, scoring his first local hit with 2006’s “Dig Dug (Shake It).” His critically acclaimed A Mixtape About Nothing solidified his reputation for tackling complex themes with nuance, paving the way for a major-label debut, Attention Deficit (2009), and later success with Ambition (2011), The Gifted (2013), The Album About Nothing (2015), and more. Aligning with Rick Ross' MMG, he delivered Platinum hits like “Lotus Flower Bomb” and “My P.Y.T.,” proving his staying power. After a brief hiatus following Folarin II (2019), Wale returned in 2023 with a new deal at Def Jam, a #1 Nigerian hit, and a Kennedy Center headline show celebrating The Gifted. Now, with his highly anticipated eighth album on the horizon, he’s ready to begin his next chapter as one of hip-hop’s greatest writers.
